Quotes on Scripture & Study

BibleQuotes

I have been in a camp-meeting all week, preaching to Junior Highers in Brown City, Michigan. It has been a tremendous week and God has been moving. Because of all day youth activities and a variety of projects I am working on, I thought this week rather than a normal post on Saturation Bible Study we could hear some thoughts on study and Scripture from great heroes of yesteryear. May these quotes press you ever deeper into Jesus and His Word.

  • Nobody ever outgrows Scripture; the book widens and deepens with our years.  – Charles Spurgeon

  • Nothing is more needed among preachers today than that we should have the courage to shake ourselves free from the thousand and one trivialities in which we are asked to waste our time and strength, and resolutely return to the apostolic ideal which made necessary the office of the pastorate.
