This evening I was contemplating what I should write as a blog entry. Most Sunday blogs I share the same insight I gave during the intro to Sunday morning worship at church. While this morning’s intro was profound, it was not exactly what I wanted to say this evening. During said contemplation, I was listening to a new CD I purchased: “Quiet Times,” a worship album written and sung by Carter Conlon (the pastor at Times Square Church – the church David Wilkerson started). One song stuck out that was simple yet profound. Oh if we could merely gain an understanding and begin to live by such words. Jesus, may my life be solely about You.
All of Jesus None of Me
by Carter Conlon
All my life there was a truth I longed to see
God said one day I’d be free
All trying led to failure
That’s when I heard Him whisper
All of Jesus none of me.
All of Jesus, all of Jesus
All of Jesus none of me
All of Jesus, all of Jesus
All of Jesus none of me
Oh, the glorious liberation
And endless celebration
When I found Him in wondrous jubilee
Should you ask I’ll gladly tell you
Of the key to our salvation
All of Jesus none of me.
