You Are Chosen!
Ephesians 1:3-4 – Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love …
- chosen
- Indicative: simple statement of fact … this isn’t up for argument – He chose you!
- 2 Greek words: ek (out/from) and lego (say, speak, call) » to call out from, to pick out, choose
- Important to note that the choosing is “In Christ”
- Colossians 1:16 – “For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.”
- You were created by Christ, for Christ, to be IN Christ
- before the foundation fo the world
- God chose you before He created the heavens and the earth
- Genesis 1:1 – “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
- You are not an accident or mistake!
- Jeremiah 1:4-5 – Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
