There are certain books that once read, I regret not reading it sooner. This is one of those.
I’ve heard of Darlene Deibler Rose’s story years ago and it was strongly recommended tot me, yet though its “been on the list” I never got around to reading it.
This past month, for one of our discipleship programs, I read Evidence Not Seen and was deeply stirred, convicted, and encouraged.
As an autobiography of her missionary adventures—primarily getting captured and sent to a Japanese war camp during WWII—Darlene discloses her internal fears, concerns, thoughts, and trust in God … which made the book come alive and personable.
More than a story of a woman’s struggle, heartbreaking loss, and torture within a POW camp, Darlene’s book is one of triumphant trust and dependence upon God as she exudes the love of Christ to everyone around her, including her enemies.
This book quickly rose to one of my favorite missionary biographies and I think it will be a tremendous blessing in your life.
Though this was January’s book giveaway, I am so excited about it, I decided to give away more copies!
This month I am delighted to give away a copy of Darlene’s autobiography Evidence Not Seen to five people.
Here is who won last month’s book giveaway …
