As humans, we are captivated by story.
Amazingly, God didn’t write a book merely of dos and don’ts – rather He gave us His Word primarily as story (in this case, historical, literal, and true).
There is something with a good story that captures our imagination and fosters empathy for others. It’s also a great way to dispense truth.
Jesus often “hid” truth within miniature stories called parables. Why? Because story, often more than facts, are remembered – and recalling the story helps us recall the facts, the moral, the truth, or the “punchline.”
I enjoy a good fiction story and often read them at night before bed.
Several of my friends write fiction, and this month, I am excited to give away a book by one of them — Captive of Raven Castle by Jessica Greyson.
If you are a fan of a good princess story or a romance set in the medieval period, you should check it out.
This month I am delighted to give away a copy of Greyson’s book to five people.
Here is who won last month’s book giveaway …
