The advent of Christ’s coming is here … and in this special mini-series, we celebrate the birth (first coming) and the return (second coming) of our King Jesus.

• Hebrews 9:28 – … so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.

We are called to be ready, expectant, and pure for Jesus’ Second Coming

• Matthew 24:44 – For this reason you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.
• Revelation 19:7 – Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.
• Ephesians 5:25b-27 – … Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.
• 2 Corinthians 11:2 – For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy; for I betrothed you to one husband, so that to Christ I might present you as a pure virgin.
• Titus 2:11-13 – For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus …
• Colossians 3:4-10 – When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory. Therefore consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry. For it is because of these things that the wrath of God will come upon the sons of disobedience, and in them you also once walked, when you were living in them. But now you also, put them all aside: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and abusive speech from your mouth. Do not lie to one another, since you laid aside the old self with its evil practices, and have put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him–
• Luke 18:8 – I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?
