Today is my parent’s 40th anniversary!
In a culture filled with little commitment, one-night stands, and high divorce rates, I can’t tell you how much my heart delights in the fact that my parents have not taken the easy road but have continued to stand and fight for their marriage and family. I’m sure it has not always been easy, but I have been greatly blessed by watching their love and relationship only grow and deepen with time.
I, for one, am one lucky kid. And I am extremely proud of my parents.
So this is me pubically honoring my parents. And while you may argue you have the best parents in the world, I think mine are certainly in the running for the
May I encourage you to seek someone out today to honor. Whether it be your parents, your pastor, or a close friend—express your love and appreciation for them. Let’s be Christians who are full of love, encouragement, and edification—building one another up that it may give grace to the listeners (see Ephesians 4:29)
