6 Reasons Why You Should Take a Trip to Israel
- The Bible comes alive as you walk the streets and read Scripture in the places it happened. There is nothing like walking where Jesus, the disciples, King David, and most of the Bible characters lived and walked. Consider a “once-in-a-lifetime” experience of …
- a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee
- walk through Hezikiah’s tunnel in Jerusalem that he dug while surrounded by the Assyrians — considered one of the greatest works of water engineering in ancient history
- float in the Dead Sea (the lowest point on earth)
- pray in the Garden of Gethsemane
- take communion at the tomb of Jesus
- stand atop Mt. Carmel where Elijah stood against the prophets of Baal
- stand in the middle of history as you gaze out at the Valley of Armageddon and realize all that took place there in the Scriptures and that Revelation states that a final battle is still to happen there
- See the faithfulness of God … not only is modern Israel a miracle … but as you see and remember all God has done throughout Scripture (while standing in many of its places) you can’t help see His faithfulness
- Great opportunity to get away from normal life and seek the Lord afresh
- Israel is safe! Statistically, you are much safer in Israel than on the streets of New York City or any other big American city. You still need to be watchful, just like you’d be anywhere else in the world.
- For such a small country, it packs a punch—there is so much to see, do, and experience in Israel. Three major world religions consider it central to their beliefs; the geography has incredible contrast from the beautiful deserts of the South to the fertile region of Galilee; and Israel has more museums and cultural institutions for its size than anywhere else in the world.
- You will never be the same again. Reading Scripture is different. You’ll have a greater understanding of history. Know Jesus deeper. Gain a greater hunger for His Word.
3 Reasons Why You Should Join Me in Israel This March
I’m leading a trip to the Holy Land this upcoming March, and I’d love for you to join me. We currently have only six spots left, but imagine coming and having the adventure of a lifetime.
Learn more about the upcoming trip. Here are three reasons why you should consider joining me:
- The group is a small size with people who are passionate about Jesus Christ. This is not a trip with a big organization … we purposefully limited the size to 34 people so that we keep a small group feel with lots of interaction, fellowship, and camaraderie (note: as of the recording, we only have 6 spots left)
- Read Scripture and have specific teaching at many locations along the way – all which point towards Jesus Christ and His work upon the Cross. Discover how God used this little country and its history as a redemptive shadow to point to Jesus.
- One of the best times to go (Springtime in Israel is green and lush [at least in the Northern region] and is one of the cheapest times to go). And if you sign up by Dec 31 you save $300
- [Bonus] It will be an experience you will never forget
