- Two words for “before” in verse 4
- “… He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world …”
- Before: “pro” (a preposition meaning: before)
- “… we should be holy and without blame before Him …”
- Before: “katanôpion” (an adverb meaning: over against, before the face of, in the presence of, in the sight of)
- katanôpion is two Greek words: against + before (literally: in the face of, or, having something before the eyes)
- “… He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world …”
- Two aspects of being “before Him”:
- The Courtroom
- The Cleansing
- Oneness (with God) Produces & Reveals Holiness
- Oneness (with God) Produces & Reveals Holiness … Which Defines Your Life
