I’m a big fan of author Phillip Keller. While he is most known for A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23, many of his books have been a great encouragement and blessing in my life (currently, I’m in the middle of two of his outstanding books—What Makes Life Worth Living and a biography of LE Maxwell and the history of Praire Bible Institute called Expendable).
Psalm 23 is a Christian classic—we turn to its comforting and pithy words in good times and bad. And I think what draws us to this pool of deep waters is the psalm’s truth that our Great Shepherd is in charge.
As a shepherd, Phillip Keller has profound insight into the life and character of sheep and shepherds, which deepens our understanding of Psalm 23.
If you’ve never read this classic book on one of our favorite Psalms, it needs to be added to your reading list.
This month I am delighted to give away Phillip Keller’s classic A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23 to seven people.
