Years ago I watched the movie War Room and fell in love with not just the characters but the message.
While I anxiously await the new Kendrick Brothers film releasing this August (and I’ve heard its their best yet from a few early screeners), I picked up and read The Battle Plan for Prayer – written by Stephen and Alex Kendrick.
Though the title explains the entire book (a battle strategy for prayer from basic training to strategic strategies), I found the book surprisingly refreshing, spiritually invigorating, and personally convicting.
Yes, the book begins with the basics of prayer most Christians would understand, but their simple and short chapters keep you engaged, their practical advice spurs you on to pray more, and I found several chapters profound and helpful – adding depth to my personal prayer life.
I encourage you to check out the book, and as a way to help, this month I am delighted to give away a copy of The Battle Plan for Prayer to five people.
