Yesterday Ellerslie Discipleship Training celebrated the end of our winter/spring semester with an incredible day of fellowship, remembrance, and worship of Jesus.
One of the things we do in the afternoon is to award a few students who were selected by their classmates for certain honors. For one of the honors, a male and female student is given a journal with all the previous honor recipients commissions to this generation—in short, it is a collection of reflections, encouragements, and cries for this generation to seek Christ, pursue Him with reckless abandon, and live the fullness of the Christian life empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Ellerslie has collected all these journal entries into a book called Reveille—which is a signal sounded especially on a bugle or drum to wake personnel in the armed forces. This book isn’t available except to our students, but while I was updating the most recent edition, I thought what a tremendous blessing this could be for others to read.
