One of my favorite writers from history past is AW Tozer. Tozer was considered an outstanding preacher and writer even in his day. Though he only penned a few books in his life, many of his sermons and magazine articles have been compiled to produce more than 50 books that bear his name.
It is fascinating to learn about the history behind the man (a great biography by James Snyder can be found here). One thing you learn is that Tozer was a voracious reader. Many of the authors he read greatly influenced his theology and understanding of the Word.
There is a tremendous book available by James Stewart Bell who compiled selections from the writings that have most influenced Tozer throughout his life. From the Library of AW Tozer is a collection of writings from AB Simpson, Augustine, Bernard of Clairvaux, Brother Lawrence, Spurgeon, Moody, and many others organized into eight themes (categories).
This month we are excited to give away 2 copies of From the Library of AW Tozer.
