Have you ever read the story of the tortoise and the hare?
As the race begins the hare pulls ahead while the tortoise lags behind. But by the end of the book, the tortoise wins.
Interestingly, every time I’ve read the story, the tortoise wins. It doesn’t matter how much the rabbit wants the victory, he can’t have it. The story is told.
The same thing is true in Scripture.
Read the last few pages and you discover that without debate or contest, Jesus wins. He stands in glorious victory.
And it doesn’t matter how much Satan may desire to rule and reign, he is headed toward judgment and the lake of fire.
While the ending hasn’t yet played out on the stage of time, the end of the book never changes. Jesus always stands triumphant.
So regardless of what you may face or what may swirl around you, the end is set. The victory is sure. Christ is King. And nothing or no one can change that fact.
Let’s not forget this sublime truth this week.
Know I am standing with you, praying for you, and cheering you down the Narrow Way of the Cross … in the victory of the King!
