Corrie ten Boom often said, “Beware the barrenness of a busy life.” And if you’ve ever gone through a full season, you know the difficulty to be intentional in your spiritual life.
But what if every season of life was used to press you all the more to Christ Jesus. That every situation and circumstance would deepen your love, intimacy, and trust in Christ.

L.E. Maxwell wrote a book called Crowded to Christ, which suggested that everything should crowd us ever closer to Christ. What an incredible concept.
Paul wrote about a similar concept in Philippians 4:6, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” In short, Paul said that nothing should “cut us into little pieces” and draw us away from Jesus; rather, all things should press toward prayer – a vibrant, rich, intimate relationship with Christ.
What if we allowed God to use everything in our lives (the good, the bad, and the ugly) to press us ever more unto Jesus?
Romans 8:28 tells us that “we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.” Why? So that He might conform us to the image of Christ (Romans 8:29).
Let us allow Him to crowd us unto Himself!
