Psalm 23 has become one of the most beloved Psalms with its refreshing, encouraging, and well known words.
The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
While the words are familiar and soul-stirring, there is a deeper layer of understanding that we often miss. Several decades ago a shepherd sat down and wrote a small book examining Psalm 23 from the viewpoint of being a shepherd.
This month we are excited to give away 3 copies of W. Philip Keller’s A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23. In his classic little book, Keller looks at Jesus as the Good Shepherd and the implications upon our lives as His sheep. Allow Jesus to guide you to green pastures and lead you through the valley of shadows.
To enter, fill in your name and email below and winners will be announced next month (Privacy Guarantee: we will never use your e-mail address for any other purpose than this giveaway). Thanks for participating with us as we journey into greater depths with Jesus!
