This month I head out to Israel with 33 other excited believers to see the Word of God come alive afresh. As I’ve prepared materials for the trip, I’ve been fascinated how much a simple travel book on Israel can deepen your understanding of God’s Word.
Just as a Bible atlas gives a geographical context to the Bible, a travel guide gives you insight on the key locations in Israel – thus, in a roundabout fashion, giving insight into the Bible stories you read.
Over the last several months, I’ve read nearly a dozen travel guides to Israel, and while none is “perfect,” one of my favorites is by John Beck called The Holy Land for Christian Travelers. If you ever plan to go to Israel or if you want some great insights into your study of God’s Word, this little travel guide may prove profitable.
As such, this month I am giving away a copy of Beck’s The Holy Land for Christian Travelers to five members of the deeperChristian community!
