I don’t often recommend a lot of modern titles … but recently my dear friends Dan and Sandi McConnaughey told me about a book that stirred them and after reading it, I realized how important it is for the days in which we live.
Natasha Crain’s new book Faithfully Different: Regaining Biblical Clarity in a Secular Culture is a clarion call to this generation to return to the authority of Scripture and to think biblically amidst a secular age.
Throughout the book, Crain describes how far too many Christians think from a secular perspective (with a little Jesus thrown in), rather than thinking about the issues of today from a biblical mindset. But rather than condemn believers for how we have embraced culture, she gives hope and practical ideas on how to return to living beneath Scripture’s authority and perspective in our lives.
As the book description declares:
In Faithfully Different, author and apologist Natasha Crain shares how you can live out your faith with conviction, discernment, and courage. You’ll be equipped to
- identify and respond to today’s most significant worldview pressures, such as cancel culture, secular social justice, progressive Christianity, deconstruction, virtue signaling, and more

This book has been encouraging and convicting to me as I yearn for our generation to live as light in the midst of a dark and depraved world. If you have such a burden, I think you’ll get a lot from the book.
