There are some passages in Scripture we return to over and over (e.g. John 3:16), but other sections we tend to only glance at when we have to (e.g. 1 Chronicles 6). Thinking back upon my devotional life and preaching ministry throughout the last decade, Galatians 5:22-23 is a section I have turned to again and again.
What is it about these simple words – a list actually – that captivates me?
Perhaps it is Paul’s simplicity in summarizing the Christian life. Maybe it is my deep hunger and desire to be shaped into such a man as exhibits these. In either case, I love the words and, more importantly, the message behind them.
One of my best friends, Ben Zornes, just released his FIRST BOOK entitled The Fruitful Christian Life. And this month I want to give away five of them.

Its words and message were not crafted in an intellectual classroom but in the place of prayer, depending upon the Spirit of God for wisdom and understanding. As such, The Fruitful Christian Life has greatly encouraged, challenged, and deepened my walk with Christ, and I pray it does the same for you.
