For many people in this generation, hymns have been lost or ignored.
Yet when you read (or sing) the hymns, you quickly discover songs that are rich in theology and biblical depth.
While there are many musicians who are reviving the old classic hymns, sometimes you need to know the story behind the song to get the whole story and freshly see the profundity of the lyrics.
Years ago, Robert Morgan began a series of books telling the stories of our favorite hymns. Recently, when I read volume one, I was deeply encouraged and blessed to not only read the stories but to be reminded of old hymns (and discover a bunch of new ones).
This month I am delighted to give away Robert Morgan’s collection of hymn stories Then Sings My Soul to five people.
