I love a good story; especially when it points me toward Christ.

Recently, I read Hannah Hurnard’s classic Hind’s Feet on High Places for a book discussion and was deeply blessed and reminded of the goodness of our Shepherd.

Similar to Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan, Hind’s Feet is an allegory following Much-Afraid and her two companions (Suffering and Sorrow) through dangers and difficulties to reach the High Places where the Shepherd will exchange her name for a sweeter name and for Much-Afraid to experience love, joy, peace, and victory. But unlike Pilgrim, this book does not end with heaven but rather a profound reminder of how God uses us “in the valley” to share and testify of the work of the Good Shepherd in our lives.

If you’ve not read Hind’s Feet on High Places, it needs to be on your list … and if it has been a while, consider picking it up again.

This month I am excited to give away Hannah Hurnard’s classic Hinds Feet on High Places to five people.
