1702Book-Epic of Eden

I love studying Scripture. And sometimes finding a good book that helps organize and arrange themes and concepts can be a huge boost in my understanding.

While in seminary, a lot of talk stirred amongst the students about one of our Old Testament professors. It was said that she would cause students to be drawn into the text and would often leave everyone teary-eyed as they left class.

Though I, unfortunately, was unable to fit in her class while in school, that professor wrote a book—taking her Old Testament class and putting it into an easy-to-understand manual for the average Bible student. I recently brushed it off in preparation to enhance my own Bible Survey class, and was incredibly delighted and captured by the insights I discovered.

If you’re having a hard time putting all the pieces of the Old Testament together, Sandra Richter helps you make sense of it all in her book The Epic of Eden. This month, I’m excited to give away a copy of the book to two people who are a part of the deeperChristian community!
