AW Tozer is one of my favorite Christians from yesteryear. Every time I read or listen to Tozer, I am challenged to freshly lay down everything and fully pursue Jesus Christ.
His words are potent, sharp, and piercing. His words, though spoken decades ago, have a freshness about them that make them as applicable today as they were when they were first written. His words continually push one to a sole focus and pursuit of Jesus.
Perhaps best known for his book Knowledge of the Holy, this book—Delighting in God—could easily be considered a follow-up to Tozer’s earlier classic.
Though published recently—James Synder (an expert on Tozer) was given the rights to take never-before-heard Tozer sermons and publish them as books—Delighting in God is a powerful call for the Church to lay aside all distractions and once again delight in and be captured by Who God truly is as they once again rediscover God’s character and attributes.
I recently finished this excellent book and not only recommend it, but this month I’m excited to give away a copy of Delighting in God to five members of the deeperChristian community!
